Martin Mere

Date: 12th May 2016 @ 9:15am

We arrived at Martin Mere all excited and buzzing!

Our first activity of the day was pond dipping, we used nets to find bugs and insects inside the murky water. Then we went inside the activity shed were we drew and labeled them.

Afterwards we went to go around and explore the wildlife park, we learned some interesting facts about mere cats and saw big tall pink flamingos standing on one leg.

Like lightening we all sprinted to the newly built playground and had a whole 20 minutes of fun (even Mrs Austin went on the zip wire!)

After we had a delicious lunch in the sun. Next we went to the woodlands and searched for creepy-crawlies and wasps, flies and bees. Also some spiders were found. We learned about how the tiny creatures of the forest do their part, contributing to the health of the forest. The we identified the creatures and the released them back into the wild. We all boarded the coach and said our farewells to Martin Mere.
