Our London Trip by Alistair and Lewis

Date: 29th Nov 2016 @ 11:15am

BEEP BEEP (6am) We woke up with excitement rushing through our bodies. The day had finally come. We ran downstairs and shoveled down our breakfast, wrapped up warm and traveled to Preston train station.

After a long wait the time had come for the train to roll into the station. We were full of excitement. Approximately 2 hours later we arrived in London! We had been welcomed by the sound of cars beeping, sirens weeping and trains screeching. The sound of London! It was that busy that Mr B, our Headteacher, had to hold up a red umbrella so that we could see where we were going. He led us to the underground. It took no time at all until we were at Embankment station.

We toured around London seeing the London Eye, Big Ben, crossed the River Themes and to the gates of Buckingham Palace. In the middle of all that we passed Trafalgar Square on the way to our lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. We ate chicken nuggets and chips, for dessert we ate jelly, ice-cream and chocolate sauce. After that we were full up.

Then we carried on our journey towards the Houses of Parliament. We watched the Autumn statement from behind the glass. We rushed back to the underground and traveled to the train station. Unfortunately there was a malfunction on the track and our train was delayed for 1 hour and 10 mins. Eventually a nice guy called Mark sorted out the problem and we had set off back home.  On the train we sat with a guy we had just met called Tom. We played games with him until we rolled up to the station. All our parents were waiting there and we were happy to see them.
