Our London Trip by Max G and Tom

Date: 1st Dec 2016 @ 11:57am

Bang!! We had woken up with a busy day in London ahead. We sprang our of bed to get our breakfast and made our packed lunches. We jumped into our cars and were raring to go on the long awaited London trip. After that we finally got to Preston station, which we waited at for our train at 7:45am. We boarded the train and sat down with our partners, the seats were brilliant and extremely comfy.

The train ride flew by and in no time we were in the busy central hub of London Euston. We got straight on the tube to Embankment, were we got off and walked onto a huge bridge were we saw some of the landmarks of London. We walked around looking at the features which we couldn't see from the bridge. We walked down to the central area of London which was where the Rainforest Cafe was.

The Rainforest Cafe brilliant and full of surprises like the huge Gorilla and (fake) thunderstorms, which scared us the first time! We left the Rainforest Cafe and walked through St James Park and arrived at Buckingham Palace were the Queen was in residence! We then walked down the Mall towards the graveled area called Horse Guard Parade. We bustled our way through the arch onto the road which Downing Street is on, where the Prime Minister lives. After that we were walking straight down to the House of Commons. We were approaching the gates of parliament then, we got our guide, and walked up the stairs to go to the viewing gallery where we watched the Autumn Statement. The leader of that was Philip Hammond. It was about where all the money goes in the country.

After that we left the House of Parliament and emerged into the busy streets of London. We walked across the familiar bridge and then Mrs Jackson saw a park to play on. We played on the park for 15 minutes and then got back on the tube to London Euston. Then, as we were leaving a very nice guy called Mark said 'The train is broken' He seated us on another train until ours was fixed luckily it wasn't long until the train was ready and we were soon on our way!
