Since 1984, the Friends of Mawdesley St Peter’s C of E (our PTA) has welcomed parents, teachers, and friends of the school to take an active role in supporting the wider life of Mawdesley St Peter’s.
We believe a great school is more than just a place of learning — it’s a vibrant part of the community. Our PTA is proud to bring together parents, teachers, and friends of the school to plan, promote, and provide the very best educational experiences for all our children.
Our main aim is to support the school and enhance the educational experiences of every child. Just as importantly, we aim to create social opportunities for parents and pupils to connect, make friends, and feel part of our warm and welcoming school family.

These occasions have become firm favourites in both the school and village calendar, helping to build strong links across our community.
🏫 Supporting Our School
Over the years, the PTA has supported the school in countless ways — from subsidising educational visits to funding outdoor play equipment, books, games, and iPads that enrich our children’s learning experiences.
Major Projects
💧 2022–2023: Our fundraising focused on a project very close to the children’s hearts — new KS2 toilets! This was something pupils had been asking for, and they were absolutely thrilled with the results (especially the new hand-dryers!).
🌳 2023–2024: Following the children’s requests once again, we raised funds to develop our outdoor play equipment— a big project that has made a huge difference to daily school life.
We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support of parents, staff, and the wider community in making these improvements possible.
🌟 PTA Highlights: 2024–2025
2024–2025 was another busy and exciting year for our PTA! Thanks to everyone’s amazing support, here are just some of the things we funded:
✅ Paint for our Colour Run
✅ A brand new whiteboard for the shared middle area
✅ Food for our festive Christmas Party
✅ A lively Samba drumming workshop
✅ A visit from the ice cream van as an end-of-year treat
✅ Leavers’ Books for our Year 6 pupils
✅ A brand new interactive SMART Board for the Green Room
Every child has benefited from these projects — a huge thank you to everyone who helped organise, donate, and participate in our events. 💛
Looking Ahead
After gathering feedback from parents, many said they’d love for the children themselves to have a say in how PTA funds are spent. So this year, we’ll be allocating each class a budget to choose resources, art materials, and wet playtime activities — things that really matter to them!
