Our London Trip by Freya and Izzy B

Ding! Ding! Our alarms went off. We looked at our clocks, it was 6am. Rapidly we rolled out of beds and flopped on to the floor. Our Mums dragged us up and flung school uniforms in our direction. Once we were dressed, we slowly walked down the stairs and to the breakfast bar. We were nervous but soon we were half way to London. On the journey we played charades and bingo to keep us occupied. Ding! Dong! That was the noise.....we were in London.

We all raced off to the underground searching for seats. Most of us stood up, we all fell over on to each other as the tube stopped. We had come off the tube and we started to walk around London with excitement. We saw the London Eye and Big Ben - they were huge. After that, we quickly posed for the camera in front of the Great Sphinx of Giza. Then we were at the Rainforest Cafe. We both munched on chicken tenders at we listened to the sound of the Rainforest. Every so often a thunderstorm came and the room fell into darkness. A shiver ran down our spines. As soon as we finished our jelly we made our way to the Houses of Parliament.

As we were walking we passed Buckingham Palace and snapped a quick photo. Soon we were in Parliament watching Philip Hammond (Chancellor of the exchequer) doing the Autumn Statement. We had a tour of Parliament and then rushed to the play area. Finally we had a break from walking!!!

When we were walking around we smiled and showed a sign of peace to the people around us.

Then we started to walk back to the tube/underground. No seats available....AGAIN! Next we ran to the train, wrong platform! Mary Poppins (Mr Ballard) lead us to the wrong platform! We rushed back to the next platform..UH OH!!! Our train wasn't running on time. We waited, and waited, AND WAITED! One hour and 10 minutes of waiting, at least we had food! Eventually we got a train and arrived in Preston and we got home at 10:45pm. It was a long day for us all. We slept like a light.
